UPCOMING EVENTS

On Saturday June 28th at 8:30am you can be a part of a great golfing experience at the Legends in Clermont.  Come and join the Keep Sheriff Borders campaign by participating in this event.  For more information and an entry form click here.

   

On Saturday July 26th at 8:30am plan on being a part of a FUN golf tournament at the Country Club of Mt. Dora.  A lot of things have been planned to make this event one to be remembered.  For more information and an entry form click here.

 

PREVIOUS EVENTS

On April 28th at 7pm there will be a political debate at the Plantation in Leesburg.  Hosted by the Plantation Republican Club.

   

On April 25th there will be a campaign fish fry hosted by Ray Bryant.  The event is from 5pm-8pm at Cadwell Park in Umatilla.  Everyone is invited.  Join in on the fun and meet Sheriff Borders.

 

 

Lake County Fair, April 3-12.  The fair was a huge success thanks to the overwhelming turnout and help of our supporters.

   

Sheriff Borders and supporters will be attending the Fruitland Park Days on Friday, April 11th from 6pm-9pm and Saturday from 8am-3pm.  The parade will begin at 10am.lick here.

   

March 18th the Lake County Republican Party will have a wine-and-cheese event from 6:30 to 8:30pm at the Ricardo Montalban room at the La Hacienda Center at the Villages.

   

March 14th and 15th the Sheriff Borders campaign team will be at Wooton Park in Tavares.  Plan to have fun and stop by our booth.

   

On March 8th the Annual Lincoln Day Dinner of the Republican Party of Lake County features a reception at 6 p.m. and a dinner at 7 p.m.

   

The Police Benevolence Association (P.B.A.) will be meeting March 7th at 2:30pm to do a press release to endorse Gary Borders for Sheriff of Lake County. Click to see pictures.

   

On March 1st Sheriff Borders and campaign supporters participated in a "chili cook-off" in Umatilla to support the Greater Lakes Youth Athletic League.  All the hard work of the cooks paid off by winning 1st place.  Click to see pictures.

   

On February 23rd at 10:00am, Sheriff Borders and and over 80 supporters participated in the rained out GeorgeFest 2008 parade.  Everyone got soaked, but it sure was fun.

   

On February 16th Sheriff Borders and a large number of supporters participated in the Eustis African American Heritage Parade.  Click to see pictures.
   

On January 23rd, The Keep Sheriff Borders Campaign had its first reception at the Mission Inn, which was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Edd Holder and the Beucher family.  Click to see pictures.

 

 

On January 4, 2008 at 4 p.m., Sheriff Gary Borders became the first candidate in Lake County to complete the signature petitions required for qualifying. In only 78 days, all petitions were turned in and verified by, the Lake County Supervisor of Elections.

   

Sheriff Gary Borders files his election papers at the Supervisor of Elections office on October 19, 2007.  The room was filled with an overwhelming amount of supporters.  It was said this was the largest show of support they have ever seen for anyone filing.
