I I was blessed to be raised by two
wonderful parents in Ashland, Kentucky. My dad worked at Armco
Steel until his death at the young age of 59. My mom worked
for J.C. Penney's for 30 years and is now enjoying her retirement.
They both taught me strong work ethics and to rely on my
Christian faith.
I have passed these same lessons on to my son Jason, whom I am
very proud of.
I knew at a young age that serving the
public was something that I wanted to do. I was excited when I
was hired by the Osceola County Sheriff's Office at the age of
19. I also knew at that time the Sheriff was taking a chance on a
young kid, so I worked hard to make sure he had made the right
decision. I was promoted to Sergeant at 21 years of age and
Lieutenant at 24. I was fortunate to be appointed as the Jail
Administrator for Lake County at the age of 28.
Throughout my 19 years with the Lake
County Sheriff's Office, I have always strived to make it
better and to look for new and improved ways to effectively
and efficiently serve the citizens of Lake County.
I am honored to serve you as your
Sheriff. I recognize that this is your agency and I am charged
with the responsibility of managing your dollars. I also know
that your safety and the safety of your children and
grandchildren is of the highest priority. I take this
responsibility very seriously.
When you cast your vote to keep me as your Sheriff,
please know that your vote is for a man of experience and
integrity, who will continue to
serve you and the citizens of Lake County.
